Solar and BESS Plant Copiapó
High in Chile's Atacama Desert, Copiapó will bring round-the-clock clean power to one of the country's most important mining regions. By pairing solar generation with large-scale battery storage, the project will let CAP Group's mining and steel operations run on renewable energy day and night, rain or shine. It's a milestone in Atlas's push to prove that clean energy can meet even the most demanding industrial needs — part of a record year for the company in Chile. Copiapó is now under construction, with operations expected to begin in 2026.
Solar and BESS Plant Estepa I & II
Estepa represents the largest financing deal in Atlas's history — and a bold answer to one of Chile's biggest energy challenges. By combining solar power with massive battery storage in the sun-soaked Antofagasta region, Estepa will capture clean energy during the day and release it when the grid needs it most, helping ease the curtailment that has long troubled Chile's renewable sector. Once complete, it will generate enough clean power for more than 250,000 households. Estepa is under construction, with commercial operation expected by the end of 2026.
BESS System del Desierto
BESS del Desierto made history as the first large-scale, stand-alone battery storage system in Chile and all of Latin America. Nestled in the Atacama Desert, it captures the region's abundant solar energy and releases it exactly when the grid needs it most — turning sunlight into round-the-clock reliability for COPEC. It's proof that Atlas isn't just building solar plants, but shaping the future of how Chile stores and uses clean energy. BESS del Desierto has been up and running since April 2025.
Solar Plant Sol del Desierto
Sol del Desierto shines in the heart of the Atacama Desert as Atlas's third solar plant in Chile, proof of the company's growing roots in the country. Since 2022, it has been powering ENGIE Energía with clean, reliable solar energy under a long-term partnership — one more example of how Atlas turns Chile's abundant sunshine into lasting energy security for its partners.
Solar Plant Quilapilún
Just 30 minutes from Santiago, Quilapilún holds a special place in Atlas's story: it was the company's first solar project built near Chile's capital, and one of the very first awarded under the country's pioneering renewable energy tender. Running since March 2017, it stands as a symbol of how far solar energy has come in Chile — and of Atlas's early bet on the country's clean energy future.
Solar Plant Javiera
Javiera tells one of Atlas's earliest and most iconic stories in Chile. Since 2015, this solar plant in Chañaral has been quietly powering Minera Los Pelambres — one of the country's largest copper mines — proving early on that clean energy could stand shoulder to shoulder with heavy industry. A decade later, that partnership remains one of the most symbolic private power agreements ever signed for solar energy in Chile.
Solar Plant El Campano
El Campano is Atlas's second big step in Colombia, following the success of Shangri-La. Rising from the fields of Chinú, Córdoba, this solar plant will strengthen the reliability of Colombia's national grid while creating jobs and opportunities for local communities. It's part of Atlas's broader commitment to reach 1 GW of renewable capacity in the country in the years ahead. El Campano is currently under construction, with commercial operations expected in the third quarter of 2027.
Solar Plant Shangri-La
Shangri-La marked Atlas's grand entrance into Colombia, and its inauguration in November 2025 was a moment of real pride for the team. Rising in Ibagué, Tolima, the project created more than 2,100 jobs during construction — with a strong focus on local hiring and gender inclusion — and now stands as one of the largest solar plants in the country. It's a firm step in Colombia's energy transition, and the first of many milestones on Atlas's road to 1 GW in the country
Solar Plant La Pimienta
In the tropical state of Campeche, La Pimienta has been quietly delivering clean energy since late 2022, supplying CFE Suministro Básico under a long-term partnership. It's a reminder of how Atlas's solar plants blend into the landscapes and lives of the communities they serve — turning southeastern Mexico's abundant sunshine into everyday power for the region.
Solar Plant Guajiro
Guajiro has been part of Atlas's story in Mexico since mid-2019, bringing clean solar energy to the state of Hidalgo. Supplying CFE Suministro Básico under a long-term partnership, it's one of the projects that helped lay the foundation for Atlas's growing presence across the country.
Solar Complex Draco
Draco brings together eleven solar plants in Arinos, Minas Gerais, and a wonderfully diverse group of clients — from telecom giant V.tal to a poultry producer and even a network of health clinics. It's part of Brazil's Novo PAC growth program and represents one of Atlas's most ambitious solar complexes to date. After Draco, Draco began commercial operation in January 2026.
Solar Plant Luiz Carlos
Luiz Carlos tells a story of trust and speed. Built hand-in-hand with ArcelorMittal — the steelmaker's very first solar plant in Brazil — the project was completed a full 90 days ahead of schedule, a milestone for the whole team. It was also where Atlas introduced Trunk Cable technology to its projects for the first time, making construction faster and more reliable. Beyond ArcelorMittal, another part of the complex is helping Votorantim Cimentos cut its carbon footprint. The ArcelorMittal side has been operating since October 2025, while the remaining capacity is on track to come online in the months ahead.
Solar Plant Vista Alegre
Vista Alegre is nothing short of a landmark — the largest solar complex ever built in a single phase in Brazil, and a powerful symbol of Atlas's leadership in the country's energy transition. Rising in Janaúba, Minas Gerais, it now generates enough clean energy to power a city the size of Brasília, all dedicated to ALBRAS under a long-term partnership. Its scale even drew a visit from Brazil's Minister of Mines and Energy, who pointed to it as proof of how renewable energy is reshaping the region's economy. Vista Alegre has been fully operational since late 2024.
Solar Plant Boa Sorte
Boa Sorte holds a special place in Atlas's journey in Brazil — it was the project that began the long-standing partnership with ALBRAS, and the first in the country's solar sector to secure a dollar-indexed loan from Brazil's national development bank, BNDES. Built by a team where nearly 15% of the workforce were women — well above the industry average — Boa Sorte stands as proof of Atlas's track record of delivering every project it starts. It has been lighting up Paracatu, Minas Gerais, since April 2024.
Solar Plant Casablanca
When Atlas and Anglo American signed their agreement for Casablanca, it was the largest bilateral solar energy contract ever recorded in Brazil. Located in Pirapora, Minas Gerais, the plant uses bifacial panel technology to squeeze more clean energy out of every ray of sunlight, supporting Anglo American's push toward a fully renewable-powered operation in the country. Together with its sister project Lar do Sol, Casablanca helped cement Atlas's place among Brazil's largest solar generators. It has been in operation since September 2023.
Solar Plant Jacarandá
Jacarandá is a story of innovation as much as clean energy. Neighboring the Eng. Manoel de Andrade plant in Juazeiro, Bahia, it shares a digital substation — the first of its kind in Brazil's solar industry — and uses bifacial panels to make the most of every ray of sun. Through a creative energy-swap arrangement with Dow, the project helps deliver round-the-clock clean power to one of the chemical giant's largest sites in Brazil, supporting Dow's broader push toward carbon neutrality.

Sertão Solar
Sertão Solar is under operation since Q4 2019.
Eng. Manoel De Andrade
Previously known as Juazeiro Solar plant, this project started operations beginning of 2019.
